The purchase and exchange of Waste Diversion Inventory can be submitted via this Service Request. Delivery of inventory can take up to 10 business days. Old broken Bins must be set out to complete your exchange.
In July 2024, the Region launched an Enhanced Green Bin Program that adds new acceptable materials (i.e., diapers, incontinence products, pet waste, pet litter, and some other additional materials) to the Region's Green Bin program. During the roll out of the Enhanced Green Bin Program, the Region is offering a subsidy for additional Green Bins starting July 1, 2024. Only one subsidized Green Bin per address can be assigned.
Broken Bins must be same or similar as the new inventory item being exchanged. Broken Bins must be clean and empty, and set out at or near the front door. No exchange will take place if the broken Bin is not provided. Bins should be set out at the time the request is made and will be exchanged within 10 business days.
