The Region of Durham recognizes that some households may require special consideration with respect to the bi-weekly garbage bag limit. 
 
Regional Council has endorsed a plan that will permit an annual allotment of garbage bag tags to those residents with medical conditions.  
 
Regional Council has also endorsed a plan that will permit an annual allotment of garbage bag tags to those families with 3 or more children under the age of 3.  
 
In order to be eligible for this program, the application form must be completed, signed and submitted to the Region of Durham. 
Please note: A medical practitioner note is required to verify your information if applying for medical condition.
